To make a complaint, it will be possible to complete an on-line complaint form and submit it along with any supporting evidence that you may have.
When the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 has commenced, we will be able to investigate complaints about an appointed decision supporter or a registered decision-making arrangement. In addition, while we do not regulate professionals such as lawyers, doctors or financial advisors, and cannot sanction these professionals, a complaint in relation to an arrangement could relate to their part in it.
It will be a criminal offence for any person to use fraud, coercion or undue pressure to induce a person into making a decision support arrangement.
